Kintamani Tour

From your hotel, our first stop is at a local primary school to say hello to the students. A short drive takes us to a traditional market to observe the Balinese shopping for their daily needs.

We continue north to Kintamani Mountain for beautiful views of the volcano and Lake Batur. On the way, we will stop for a walk through coffee and fruit plantation.

The next stop is the famous Tirta Empul Holy Water Temple located in Tampaksiring. At this temple you can observe the Balinese bathing in series of holy water fountains. Our final stop is the stunning Gunung Kawi Temple. This temple has large old carvings in its cliffs, and a location in beautiful rice terraces.

Our drive back to Ubud will take you though small traditional villages and beautiful rice field vistas, including the spectacular rice terraces of Tegallalang. The tour also includes a visit to a Balinese household.

Tanah Lot and Rice Terrace Tour

For this tour we offer two options. You may depart around 10 a.m. to arrive at Tanah Lot Temple for the sunset. The other option is to leave around 8 a.m., allowing you to arrive back to your hotel in time for dinner.

From your hotel, our first stop will be a visit to a primary school. After greeting the students, we will then stop at the Taman Ayun Mangwi Temple, one of the six empire temples of Bali. From the temple, we then head north to a traditional market located in the village Penebel. Next is a leisurely drive through small villages, bamboo jungles and the spectacular terraced rice fields of Jatiluwih. These rice fields are beautiful enough to have been placed as a potential UNESCO world heritage site. We finish at Tanah Lot Temple, which is on of Bali's most famous temples.

(On this tour, the house and primary school visit is only available for guests staying in the Ubud area).

From your hotel, we first offer you an optional Barong and Kris dance; which is a great introduction to the traditional Balinese dance and music. (Ticket prices are approximately $10 USD per person). From there your tour will include a visit to the beautiful Sacred Monkey Forest in Ubud. There you can feed the monkeys and watch them swim!

If you like, we can then visit artisan villages, such as Celuk for silver, Mas for wood carvings, and Tohpati for weaving. In these villages, it is not just shopping, as you can observe how these Balinese items are handcrafted.

We will also visit the waterfall of Tegenungan , with a nice drive through small traditional villages to the famous temple of Goa Gajah. If you wish to explore the cafes and shops of Ubud, we can also arrange time for that as well. Finally, we end the tour at our traditional Balinese house, where you can learn about how the Balinese go about their daily lives.

If you wish to see the optional dance, pickup time from Ubud and Sanur is 8:30, and from South Bali is 8:00.

From you hotel, we head north to the famous Pura Ulun Danu temple on Lake Bratan.

We will first stop at a morning traditional market, where you can see how the Balinese shop for their daily needs. Next will be the Taman Ayun Mangwi Temple. This is the family temple of the Royal King of Mangwi, and is surrounded by moats and has lovely gardens. Close to Taman Ayun, we can visit a family spice and fruit farm.

From there, we will see beautiful mountain scenery and small villages, arriving at the world famous Tabanan rice terraces located at Jatiluwih. There you can observe the ancient irrigation process that is still in use today. If you like, we can even take a trek through the rice fields.

We then finish the tour at the Pura Ulun Danu Temple, which has a spectacular location on Lake Bratan, and is even shown on the Indonesian 50.000 Rupiah bank note.

East Bali Tour

Departing your hotel, our first stop is the BlahBatuh traditional market. From BlahBatuh we continue east to the Goa Lawah bat cave temple. This temple has many cremation rite ceremonies, which you might be able to observe. A stop at a salt factory on Kusamba beach is next, where you can see how salt is harvested from the sea.

We then visit the historical Bali Aga village of Tenganan, which is the home to the original Balinese people. We will pass through the tourist resort of Candi Dasa. A bit east of Candi Dasa we head inland for a beautiful back-country drive. Along the way you will see Salak fruit plantations, small villages, mountain views and rice field vistas.

We then arrive in the small city of Klung Kung, stopping at the famous Kerta Gosa Palace, which is know for its ceiling paintings. From Klung Kung we then head back to your hotel to end the tour.
